PTC Announces Expanded Fall Dramatic Academy Offerings – Ages 4 – 400!

“Penobscot Theatre’s Dramatic Academy is committed to providing students of all ages a training ground to explore the performing arts.  Through collaboration with professionally trained instructors we strive to foster learning, growth, and skill acquisition amongst our students.  In doing so, we look to build a greater community and inspire a lifelong love of theater.”

Teen/Adult Classes : September 17 – October 26

Improvisation: (Brad LaBree) Ages 18+ Mondays 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.  ($300)  Students will study the classic tenets of improvisation through a series of games and exercises.

Audition Seminar: (Jasmine Ireland) Ages 16+ Tuesdays 3 – 6 p.m.  ($300)  Learn to create the ultimate audition package! This class will include instruction on choosing and performing monologues, resume formatting, where to find work, and much more!

Youth Classes: October 1 – November 6

Tiny Thespians: (Ben Layman) Ages 4 – 9  Saturdays 10 – 11 a.m.  ($150)   Our youngest students will focus on theater fundamentals including voice, movement, ensemble  building and memorization to create an original piece of patriotic theater that will accompany the Youth Troupe presentation of 44  Plays for Presidents.  Performances  Nov. 2,3, &6.

Youth Troupe: (Ben Layman) Ages 10+  Tues. 3 – 5 p.m./Sat. 11 a.m.- 1p.m.  ($300)  This group will study in a master class environment, working toward a final production of 44 Plays for Presidents.  Performances Nov. 2,3, & 6!  This project will be filmed and become part of the national presentation of this work!
