Northern Writer Update!

We at PTC highly value the relationships we build with the playwrights who participate in our Northern Writes New Play Festival.  One of those playwrights is Joe Musso; the only writer to have participated in our event annually since its inception.  Mr. Musso hails from Birmingham, Alabama and graciously joined us for the festival this past year.  Both Joe and his work have become audience favorites over the years, and we wanted to update you on his current success!

“On Saturday, February 4, MTWorks will present a staged reading of Joe’s play ABSINTHE as part of its 2012 National Newborn Festival in New York City. The reading will take place at The City College of New York at 5 p.m. Full details are available at MTWorks’ website: www.mtworks.org. Tickets are free but reservations are required.”

“Mr Musso’s play BLOOD WATER will be in production at Zombie Joe’s Underground Theatre in Los Angeles (North Hollywood) on five Friday nights in 2012 (Jan. 27, Feb. 3, Feb. 10, Feb. 17 and Feb. 24). The production runs 60 minutes and starts at 11 p.m. each night. Tickets are only $15 and will go on sale soon. (Reservations can be made by calling 818-202-4120). Joe will be in the audience at the Feb. 10 performance. The talented Rod Sweitzer will be directing. Zombie Joe’s Underground Theatre has been around a for decade in the North Hollywood area.”

Congratulations Joe!  We look forward to seeing what you submit to Northern Writes this year!
